Terrycloth Beanie Plush
There's something wonderful about these terrycloth plush that I just can not seem to resist. Every single one of these rare little durps have such wonderfully made patterns, and such beautifully embroidered details. The high quality design, as well as the small size just captures my soul and feeds it hot chocolate. <3
When I was young I used to buy so many Beanie Kids (an Australian toy franchise), so maybe these guys bring back some nostalgia? IDK I JUST LOVE THEM. Unfortunately I've sold this collection, excluding the Quagsire which is staying with me for a long time, but I intend to keep this page up for anyone that wants reference! Last updated 21/4/12. |
Quagsire Kutakuta plush
Tomy - ?
I love this so much more than I thought I would oh my word. I've always loved smaller plush, with good detail. And laying down plush. And beanie plush. The combination of all three just. Blew. My. Mind. This guy is adorable. This Quag was the first to kick off my proper Kutakuta collection, and he's still my undisputed favourite. He's the only plush I've ever allowed to be a permanent resident of my bed. SO. YEP. |
Miltank Kutakuta plush
Tomy - 2001
The only Miltank plush ever made, and one of the small group given the honour of having a Kutakuta plush. The eye embroidery, like all terrycloth beanie plush I've encountered so far, is just gorgeous. And I love that cute little tail. Fabulous execution~ No detail was spared on the underside!

Snubbull Kutakuta plush
Tomy - ?
A Christmas present from my sister, this little plush is just to die for! The shape of the head was so well done in my opinion; especially the adorable little underbite. And the legs are SO FLOPPY. It's so fun just making little Snub' kick about with his itty bitty feet. |
Pikachu Kutakuta plush
Tomy - ?
Of COURSE Pikachu got the Kutakuta treatment. No one is shocked. In fact, I think he may have a second one, though I'm in no rush for the thing. I think this guy is just a delight though. I remember when a larger version of this plush used to be one of the main features of the PKMNCollectors banner. I always admired it, but since I'm not a fan of big plush, I never sought after it. LUCKILY THIS LITTLE BUTT FACE SURFACED OUT OF THE BLUE. I got his as one of my 17th birthday presents. Man, dat face. All of the cute. |
Spinda Button plush
Bandai - 2003
I'm so happy Spinda got chosen to be one of these unique little plush! They're not as big as the Kutakuta line (which is saying something, since they're pretty small in the first place!) with not AS much detail in their pattern. They're pretty flat, AND THEY HAVE BUTTONS. BUTTONS. YOU CAN MAKE A PLUSH WHEEL OUT OF THEM. Wheeeeeel. <3 This one was a special Christmas present from a non-collector friend. |
Slakoth Button plush
Bandai - 2003
Sloths are the funniest little creatures. They aren't one of my favourite animals per se, but they've always made me smile with their dopey expressions, and Slakoth is no different. Even with these smaller terrycloth plush, the embroidered details are incredible and entirely accurate. And he has a little butt. A litte butt. <3 |
Treecko Button plush
Bandai - 2003
I must admit, treecko wasn't my favourite starter, though I really liked his final evolution. Regardles, this plush is just SUPER cute! And I can't help but be simply captured by his wonderfully crafted eyes. CRAFTED WITH THE LOVE.. of.. a mass producing.. machine. Hmm. STILL CRAFTED WITH LOOOOVE. Beautiful belly details.
